Safeguarding Young Cricketers
Everyone is entitled to enjoy playing cricket in a safe and welcoming environment. Warfield CC supports and implements the ECB’s Safe Hands policy for safeguarding cricketers. The Club Welfare Officer, Jon Curran, is responsible for ensuring the club implements good practice to safeguard its members. All members of the junior coaching programme have been certified by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and are trained in safeguarding young cricketers. They also are certified in first aid for sports coaching by St John’s Ambulance.   We are lucky enough to have four ECB qualified level 2 coaches and six ECB qualified assistant coaches, who are involved in the Junior coaching programme. Warfield Cricket Club

Presidents Day Fun!

On Sunday 30th July we held our annual intra-club junior tournament, as 8 Warfield junior teams looked to claim glory!  Playing a six-a-side format, the sides took part in a round-robin style competition which saw the 'Whackers' & 'Wrens' sides clean up the younger & older divisions respectively!

With the tournament in full flow, the U7s had their eagerly anticipated match against their parents. It proved to be a one-sided affair as the U7s stuffed the mums & dads!

Finally, a Warfield Junior All-Star team took on the coaches in the Showcase game! A gripping match followed which saw the All-Stars narrowly prevail! It was a fantastic way to end the season and great fun for all involved!

Warfield Cricket Club Juniors 2017-2018

Since forming in 2015, the Warfield CC junior section has massively exceeded all of our expectations. We were now able to provide high quality coaching to nearly 100 junior cricketers from the Bracknell area!

In 2018, we aim to build on the successes of last year, by continuing to develop junior squads at Under 7, U9, U11, U12 (girls), U13, U14 (girls) & U15 age groups. To enable this, we are expanding the number of coaches at the club to six ECB Level 2 Coaches and nine ECB level 1 Assistant Coaches. Junior Highlights 2017

Despite it only being the third season of junior cricket at Warfield CC, there were some outstanding success stories for 2017. The Under 9 team had a storming season, finishing fourth in the Berkshire South East division. This was a huge leap forward from the previous season where the team finished ninth!

The Warfield Wrens (Girls U12s) went even better, narrowly missing out on the Berkshire East division top spot! Despite this disappointment, the girls bounced back and put in a superb display at County Finals Day, finishing runners-up!
